For me, Dogs have been a part of my life since birth. I was born into a family that raised, bred and showed Siberian Huskies. My mother, Irene, was a committed breeder and handler. Those traits were instilled in me and I took that commitment with me on the path of the profession I chose. My career began running a private kennel in Waterbury, out of my home. Dealing in rescue and foster work with a large population of American Stafford Shire Terriers, but other breeds as well. Through that experience I found my pack! A litter of six unique and quirky AmStaffs that became my family. Huggy, Cheese, Yeyo, Bear, Lil'Foot and Eskimo were an amazing set that brought me the best experiences and drove my inspiration to other levels when dealing with the K9 mind. I owe so much to them. My love for Giant breeds ignited in the form of a massive but incredibly affectionate Great Dane by the name of Mouse. From that first house shaking bark to the last "you better pet me" lean! Her gentle touch and that assumed parenting demeanor she held with her family. She gave me the key to finding exactly what my life was missing. Turned out to be 3 of the smartest, charismatic and hilarious, enigmas that the Great Dane breed has produced. Salad, Ice and Jell-O! a band of brothers who now are my Family.
